We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children's Services team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support to vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert social work services to children and families, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people, and their families, as well as with colleagues and partner agencies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to children's social care.
- Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practice.
- Recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, Post Graduate Certificate in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Completed relevant post-qualifying training and at least one year's experience post-qualification.
- Registration with the relevant professional body.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel to different locations.
