Car Sales Representative

About the Company: Our client is a successful and progressive third-generation family-owned business, established in 1931. They are a leading automotive retailer representing prestigious car Brands, with a total of 30 businesses providing sales, service, and accident repair services across Sussex, Surrey, Kent, and Hampshire.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our premium and luxury dealership in Crawley. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for selling the manufacturer's range of new and used car products, meeting agreed sales volumes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Customer Service: Follow precisely and consistently the manufacturer sales process, including meeting inquiry management targets. Ensure the showroom, displays, customer information, sales activities, vehicle documentation, and other relevant information are kept and maintained accurately and comprehensively to the required manufacturer standard.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Use various sources to prospect for new and used car customers on a regular basis to create sales opportunities. Maintain regular contact with all new and existing customers to ensure relationships are maintained for potential (repeat) business.
- Finance and Administration: Maximise sales opportunities by offering finance solutions to customers, as well as adhering to the FCA guidelines at all times with regard to portraying financial information and regulated activities. Manage the preparation and handover of sold vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer is given a full briefing on the operation of the vehicle and its controls.
- Marketing and Promotion: Participate in planning sales campaigns and promotions to maximize sales penetration and take part fully in on and off-site promotions run by the department.
- Vehicle Appraisal: Carry out accurate appraisals of all vehicles offered for a part exchange.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Experience in delivering first-class customer service in a customer-facing environment, ideally within an automotive.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
- Drive and Motivation: Drive to exceed targets.
- Influencing and Negotiation Skills: Influencing and negotiation skills, having the ability to identify and close the sale.
- Valid Driving License: Full and valid driving license.
