Job Summary

SmartPro is seeking a skilled and dedicated Land Surveyor to join our team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting topographical and measured building surveys, creating 3D point cloud models, monitoring and performing setting out tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough topographical and measured building surveys to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Perform setting out tasks for various construction and residential projects, utilizing advanced surveying equipment and software.
  • Monitor and track progress on various sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Operate GPS and other surveying equipment to collect and analyze data.
  • Develop high-quality 3D point cloud models to support project requirements.
  • Utilize surveying and CAD software to prepare detailed survey drawings and reports.
  • Collaborate with clients and the team to ensure project specifications are met and exceeded.
  • Travel to different sites as required, utilizing a company vehicle provided for convenience.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in surveying or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD and surveying software, including Trimble equipment and laser scanning (preferred but not essential).
  • Valid driver's license for travel to different sites.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
