Stock and Inventory Manager

Job Overview
Wincanton is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stock and Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for training, developing, and appraising the Stock & Systems Team members.
- Closing liaison with customers to ensure the smooth running of the operation by prioritizing workloads.
- Maintaining a high level of stock accuracy between the Warehouse Management System and the clients' systems.
- Resolving and liaising with clients on all aspects of stock-related issues with 3rd party customers.
- Updating and maintaining Stock & System procedures, including returns processing, secondary stock recovery, stock checks, and 3rd party ad-hoc stock management.
- Producing management reports for both the customer and site management team, including analyzing and collating data to monitor site KPIs.
- Governing Key Control Measures.
- Attending training courses when required.
- Ensuring all handling of finished products complies with Legislative, Company, and Customer requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in an automated dynamic warehouse environment.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and flexibility governed by the position.
- Excellent PC skills using MS Office and WMS.
- Comprehensive skills in Macro writing and pivot tables.
- Clear leadership qualities with peers to drive necessary change and improvements.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate the Stock team and ensure high operational standards.
- Flexibility and high self-motivation in a time-critical operation.
- Proven experience of interpreting, analyzing, and reporting information.
- Proactive approach and innovation towards ways of operating.
- Ability to govern key control measures.
- Active role in ensuring the accuracy of all systems and stocks onsite, assisting the operation and 3rd parties to achieve service level targets.
