Job Overview:

Import Gateway Operations Supervisor

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5:30 pm.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

To ensure the efficient operation of the Import Gateway
  • Supervising and directing cargo operations to guarantee seamless Gateway functionality
  • Collaborating with cargo handling agents, transportation providers, and customs for effective cargo movement
  • Ensuring adherence to international and domestic cargo regulations and standards
  • Overseeing cargo security and ensuring the safe handling of goods
  • Implementing and managing cargo handling and operational protocols
  • Maintaining relationships with airlines, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Planning and scheduling cargo shipments, monitoring progress, and addressing any delays
  • Evaluating and enhancing the performance of cargo operations
  • Leading and managing the cargo operations team
  • Preparing and overseeing budgets and financial reports for cargo operations
  • Developing contingency strategies for cargo operations during emergencies or disruptions
  • Maximizing team performance, ensuring focus on processes, safety, productivity, and compliance with training requirements
Key responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring team performance and reallocating duties as necessary.
  • Inspiring and motivating team members to optimize overall output with a collaborative mindset.
  • Supporting fellow team leaders and collaborating with management to enhance processes.
  • Completing daily reports to identify potential opportunities.
  • Ensuring services are delivered within established timelines.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal teams, always prioritizing the needs of end customers.
