About the Role

Oxford Economics is seeking an Economist to join our Macroeconomic Modelling and Scenarios team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing bespoke scenarios for a variety of purposes, including strategic planning, stress testing, and asset allocation decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with our flagship model, the Global Economic Model (GEM), to produce regulatory stress tests and economic scenarios for clients.
  • Develop bespoke models and forecasts to support clients' business planning and asset allocation decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of our subscription-based products, including the Global Scenario Service (GSS) and the Global Climate Service (GCS).
  • Collaborate with the team to improve the GEM and develop new scenario analysis techniques.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience as an economist or related field.
  • Strong education in Economics, preferably at the postgraduate level.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to explain economic concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and meet tight deadlines.
