We are seeking a skilled Assistant Conservator to join our sculpture and installation art conservation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering condition assessments, treatments, and documentation requirements for loan programs across Tate in the UK and worldwide.

Sculpture and installation art encompasses a wide range of materials and techniques, from metal to plastics to flora and fauna. You will work closely with the sculpture conservation team to ensure the highest standards of conservation and preservation.

This is a fixed-term contract opportunity until 31 March 2027. As a successful candidate, you will have access to a range of benefits, including annual leave entitlement, a cycle to work scheme, and opportunities for blended and flexible working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver condition assessments, treatments, and documentation requirements for loan programs
  • Work closely with the sculpture conservation team to ensure high standards of conservation and preservation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sculpture and installation art conservation
  • Strong knowledge of conservation techniques and materials
