About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior Associate to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for planning and completing audits for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and complete audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare statutory accounts, cashflow, and budgets, and complete financial statements with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, proactively problem-solving and providing expert advice.
  • Deliver a good commercial awareness, working with senior staff to monitor budgets and provide strategic guidance.
  • Confidently present work to managers, completing files to a high standard and meeting deadlines.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance, ensuring our clients' financial interests are protected.
  • Mentor new starters, supporting their learning and development through knowledge sharing and on-the-job training.
  • Set an example as a hands-on member of the team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

The Successful Applicant
  • AAT studier with a desire to begin ACCA study in the future, with a full study support package.
  • A minimum of two years general practice experience, with a strong understanding of audit and accounts principles.
  • Audit experience is desirable but not essential, with training provided for the right candidate.
  • Excellent work ethic and self-motivation, with a strong desire to progress in their career.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Awareness of current affairs and commercial processes, with a strong understanding of the accounting industry.
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem-solver, with a strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
