About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality audit and accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of financial statements for a diverse client portfolio, utilizing industry-leading software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Auditing financial statements from planning to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Undertaking individual assignments, ensuring effective and timely delivery throughout.
  • Delivering bookkeeping and management accounting services, providing expert guidance to clients.
  • Finalization of accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetings.
  • Preparation of reports for review by senior management.
  • Effective communication with clients, utilizing computer software to convey complex information.
  • Supporting junior staff by reviewing work and sharing knowledge.
  • Liaising directly with clients, building strong relationships and proactively addressing queries.
  • Working to client expectations, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Promoting services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Championing professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team.
  • Supporting the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, or studying.
  • Qualified by experience also considered.
  • A proven track record of owner-managed small to medium business accounts preparation.
