About the Role

Baltic Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit and assurance assignments, ensuring their effective and timely completion while maintaining the highest quality of standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Carry Out Audit Assignments: Develop and implement audit plans, conduct audits, and ensure that all audit work is completed within the allocated timetable and budget.
  • Team Management: Supervise and control junior staff, both in the UK and in India, to ensure that they are working effectively and efficiently.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients on the progress of the audit and meet with them to discuss audit and accounts-related matters.
  • Business Development: Assist the business development team in acquiring new clients, meet with prospective clients, discuss their requirements, and create proposals.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices to improve processes and maintain professional and technical knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (ACA/ACCA) in a practice environment, ideally with experience in financial services.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS, sound knowledge of ISA's, good report writing skills, and ability to manage a team of up to 10 staff.
  • Software Skills: Competent with CaseWare, IRIS, and familiar with the Mercia methodology.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 to £65,000, depending on experience, and a 37.5-hour working week. This is an office-based role with opportunities for career development and growth.
