Job Opportunity: Local Area Coordinator

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is a leading healthcare provider in the UK, employing over 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical professions. We deliver a wide range of services, including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care, to a population of over 1.15 million.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the Scottish Trauma Audit Group (STAG) for relevant sites across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This will involve collecting and entering data for patients to be included in the audit, following agreed national guidelines and protocols.

The post holder will be employed by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and will be based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). However, there may be a requirement to work flexibly across the Health Board to meet service demands.

The QEUH is a university teaching hospital, operating in the acute division of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The hospital has been designated as the Major Trauma Centre for the West of Scotland Trauma Network, which should become operational by 2021. Patient attendance is approximately 120,000 per annum, and presentations range from minor injuries or illnesses to those who require immediate resuscitation.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Scottish Trauma Audit Group to ensure the successful implementation of the audit. This will involve collaborating with colleagues across the Health Board to collect and enter data, as well as providing support and guidance to sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of the Scottish Trauma Audit Group and its objectives.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth. If you are a motivated and experienced individual looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
