Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employment Advisor to join our team at Aspire Recruitment. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting job seekers to gain new skills, widen their horizons, and secure employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a caseload of customers who may have multiple barriers to work, including drug/alcohol problems, ex-offender status, mental health issues, disability, or long-term health conditions.
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis to complete in-depth diagnostics and create SMART targets to address their lack of skills or motivation.
  • Ensure customers are on track to secure sustainable employment through regular, personalized interventions.
  • Have previous industry experience helping job seekers, although transferable skills and a good understanding of the labour market and current challenges are also desirable.
  • Hold a Level 4 qualification in Careers Information Advice & Guidance, although this is not essential.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the employment or careers guidance sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
