Senior Insurance Counsel

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Insurance Counsel to join our Litigation, UK & Lloyd's team. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice on insurance law matters, including coverage litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation, with a strong track record of managing complex claims and disputes. You will work closely with our claims handlers, underwriting teams, and external counsel to provide strategic advice and guidance on coverage-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive coverage analyses and litigation strategies
- Provide expert advice on insurance law matters, including coverage litigation, arbitration, and mediation
- Work closely with claims handlers, underwriting teams, and external counsel to provide strategic advice and guidance on coverage-related matters
- Manage and oversee the selection and management of qualified, cost-effective outside counsel and litigation vendors
- Participate in the development of litigation management systems and processes
Requirements
- International coverage experience, including coverage litigation, arbitration, and mediation
- Strong academic record and solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales or UK barrister
- Excellent research and analysis skills, with the ability to deliver comprehensive and targeted advice
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results
