Insurance Lawyer Opportunity

The client, a leading global insurance and reinsurance firm, is seeking an insurance lawyer with generalist experience to join their legal team.

This individual will play a crucial role in advising senior stakeholders across the business globally, providing counsel on a range of matters, including insurance policies and contracts, corporate governance, data privacy, and regulatory developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advising senior stakeholders on insurance-related matters.
  2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating insurance policies and contracts.
  3. Supporting the business with corporate, governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Providing counsel on regulatory developments impacting the business.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  6. Providing legal training to the business when required.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified lawyer with 4-8 years' experience as a lawyer gained in-house and/or in private practice.
  2. Regulatory knowledge in the UK and/or EU would be a plus.
  3. Solid understanding of insurance law would be highly preferable but not a prerequisite.
