About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy and Climate Change Consultant to join our team at Wardell Armstrong. As a key member of our Energy and Climate Change Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in delivering against energy and climate change targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the energy team with a variety of projects, including technical elements of planning applications for renewable energy projects, modelling of complex off-grid energy systems, and wind flow modelling.
  • Conduct building assessments for new and existing housing, commercial, and industrial property, as well as climate change and sustainability assessments for Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Provide carbon accounting for corporate audits in line with legislation and industry standards, and develop carbon management and climate resilience strategies for businesses.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate or Masters degree in a Maths, Engineering, or related Science subject.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems, energy management in buildings, and SAP/SBEM assessment.
  • Strong modelling capability, competent with Excel, and a strong grounding in IT, ideally with some Linux experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to undertake client-facing roles, and connections within client organisations and the wider business community.
  • Interest and/or capability in associated service lines such as Waste and EIA projects, and a keenness to progress to Chartership with a relevant professional institute.
