Senior FP&A Analyst

Mackie Myers is seeking a highly skilled Senior FP&A Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Budgeting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to align financial goals with business objectives.
    • Prepare detailed financial models, forecasting P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
    • Monitor actual vs. budget performance and explain variances.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making.
  • Strategic Business Support:
    • Partner with various business units to assess financial impact, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives.
    • Work closely with senior leadership to guide long-term financial strategy and business growth.
  • Performance Management:
    • Support in the preparation of board presentations and executive reports.
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis as required to support business needs.
  • Process Improvement & Automation:
    • Continuously improve financial planning and reporting processes, introducing automation where possible.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and quality of financial information.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with experience in financial and planning analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A/commercial finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail while working under tight deadlines.
