Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join our client, a renowned food manufacturing company based in Spalding. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for creating and driving HSE strategies to deliver a proactive HSE culture across the entire site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE strategies in line with the overall site strategy to ensure a proactive HSE culture.
- Coach and mentor the HSE Co-ordinator to ensure effective performance.
- Provide sound environmental advice to the site, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
- Ensure all HSE legal requirements, policies, standards, and procedures are interpreted, communicated, documented, and implemented.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Health, Safety and Environment management system.
- Design, implement, monitor, and report site HSE performance, analyzing trends and developing action plans to deliver site targets.
- Identify and coordinate HSE training and development for managers to ensure effective management of HSE.
- Monitor site risk assessment processes and provide assistance/advice to site assessors to ensure site risk assessments/safe systems of work are maintained and meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Prior Safety, Health, and Environmental experience at managerial level or senior level.
- High-risk, fast-paced manufacturing or high-risk industry experience ideally in or related to food, beverage, paper, or packaging.
- NEBOSH Certificate, ideally Diploma.
