We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Logistics team at Ocado Group. As a key member of our Spoke operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our customers' orders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery operation team, including recruitment, training, and performance management of all spoke drivers.
- Chair meetings with drivers, including absence, disciplinary, and welfare meetings in line with Ocado policies.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring all KPIs, targets, and deadlines are met without disruption to the business.
- Ensure all health and safety measures are in place and followed, and that all training requirements are met and up to date at all times.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can shape and drive a world-class employee experience and environment. You will be responsible for ensuring KPIs are a vital focus across your site, including labour turnover, absence rates, and engagement scores.
- You will continuously encourage self-improvement, training, and development of your teams to support succession planning and aim to drive and develop initiatives that encourage site-wide engagement and enhance morale.
- Previous experience in conducting formal meetings, understanding, and applying relevant policies appropriately is desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication and numeracy skills are a must, and a passion for dealing with people and a focus on achieving employee satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance are preferred, and previous experience in a spoke/warehouse or logistics environment are highly desirable.
