Job Title: Process and Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process and Project Engineer to join our team at Unilever, a leading FMCG company. As a Process and Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of engineering projects within our Sourcing Units, including design, installation, and commissioning of process plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of engineering projects, including design, installation, and commissioning of process plant and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment schedules, cost schedules, and project documentation.
  • Install, test, and commission plant equipment related to engineering projects.
  • Conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to enable project decisions.
  • Create scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation meets standards.
  • Work with Process designers to ensure plant and process design is correct.
  • Manage contractors, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, signing permits, and completing audits.
  • Manage civil aspects of plant installation, including ground works for new vessel installations.
  • Provide stakeholder updates for projects.
Requirements:
  • Hygienic plant and process design experience.
  • Managed design and installation of plant equipment, including tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, valves, and manifolds.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Chemical engineering background or relevant experience in process projects.
  • Project management qualification or relevant experience.
