About the Role
As a Production Operations Supervisor at TVS-SCS, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, from inventory management to quality control, with a focus on maximizing productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: You'll supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels are maintained. This includes tracking stock, conducting regular counts, and implementing systems to optimize turnover.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with other departments to develop production schedules that meet customer demands. This involves forecasting needs, coordinating with suppliers, and adjusting plans as required.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards. This may involve inspecting materials, conducting checks throughout the production process, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections, provide training on safe practices, and address concerns immediately.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise staff, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance. Effective communication and leadership are essential for motivating your team.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline production processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. This may involve implementing new technologies, optimizing workflows, or revising procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during production, such as equipment malfunctions, inventory shortages, or scheduling conflicts. Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills are crucial for minimizing disruptions.
We're looking for a highly motivated individual with proven experience in a similar role. You should possess strong knowledge of operations, inventory management, and logistics. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills are essential, along with familiarity with safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will also have the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements, as well as effective communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software is a plus.
