Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Executive to join our team at JD Group. As a key member of our Digital Merchandising team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our product offerings are optimally positioned to meet customer demands and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning:
    • Oversee the effective launch of new products, ensuring they are prepared and online in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate the online presence of new products, utilizing product trackers, intake calendars, and KPI reporting to analyze time-to-site performance.
    • Annotate key information for future reference, including product details, issues, and events.
  • Trading:
    • Monitor reserved stock levels daily, conducting weekly reviews to manage stock holdings.
    • Review low-cover lines in the warehouse, transferring stock from slow-selling stores to maintain sell-through rates.
    • Monitor key replenishments to support trade, ensuring teams are aware of updates prior to and post-launch.
    • Review stock levels across other business units and stores to service the website.
    • Analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports to highlight good and deficient performance, comparing online to store performance to close the gap within the business.
    • Merchandise the site using Fredhopper algorithms and manual blocking modifications for key products.
    • Conduct site walks throughout the day to identify potential issues, such as broken links, incorrect product descriptions, placement, imagery, and general housekeeping.
    • Attribute the site to improve the customer journey and marketing pushes.
  • Teamwork:
    • Collaborate closely with core merchandising, buyers, and marketing teams to sign off products for marketing activity, ensuring optimal stock and range utilization.
    • Work with the wider digital marketing teams (PPC, SEO, Affiliates, ECRM) to ensure product-related activity, such as keywords, ranking, and links, is appropriate.
    • Develop the merchandising team and serve as a point of contact for new technology and launch maintenance.

Role Objectives and KPIs:

  • Maintain accurate stock files.
  • Implement and apply good practices.
  • Train, develop, and motivate the team.
  • Build strong relationships with the B&M team.
  • Identify opportunities and threats, and develop solutions to address them.

Requirements:

  • Analytical thinker with the ability to spot potential issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Good understanding of Excel and PowerPoint, with SQL knowledge beneficial but not essential.
  • Effective management and leadership experience.
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organized, with good prioritization and time management skills.
  • Experience within a sports/fashion retailer is advantageous.
