About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Merchandiser to join our Outdoors Multichannel Merchandising Team at JD Group. As an Ecommerce Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are accurately and efficiently presented online, while maintaining the look and feel of our websites to maximize conversion and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Onboarding: Ensure that new products are online as quickly and efficiently as possible, working closely with the Buying & Merchandising team to build out and manage New in Trackers.
  • Content Management: Provide the content team with priority products to ensure that the most relevant and revenue-driving parts of the range are set live across our outdoor sites.
  • Asset Creation: Work with the Buying & Merchandising team to send over and record new season samples to the Photo Studio, ensuring that assets are created ahead of stock landing to reduce time to site.
  • Site Merchandising: Merchandise our sites using Aurora Commerce ranking blends and manual modification for key product categories and brands to ensure that the most relevant seasonal product is being showcased.
  • Site Walks: Conduct regular site walks to identify and resolve any potential issues, including broken links, incorrect product descriptions, product placement, imagery, and general housekeeping.
  • Team Support: Assist the Junior Merchandiser in day-to-day tasks as required, providing support and guidance to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
  • Promotions and Offers: Set up current on-site promotions in the Aurora platform and use Monetate software to apply relevant overlays and badging.
  • Product Attribution: Review and maintain product attribution, including multi-buys, colors, new season, and out-of-stock rules.
  • Product Reviews: Ensure that product reviews are regularly checked and set live to sites.
  • Customer Queries: Deal with daily product queries from the customer experience team, escalating and managing any issues that cannot be resolved there and then.
  • Training and Development: Support line managers with basic system and task training for new Assistant Merchandisers.
  • Search Optimization: Review top on-site searches and action merchandising rules to improve results and conversion.
  • Size Guides: Review and update size guides regularly.
Requirements
  • Ecommerce Experience: Proven experience in ecommerce, merchandising, and excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills.
