The Project

We are currently working on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Europe, the construction of a new nuclear plant in Somerset. This project requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to support our project managers and senior leaders in delivering the project safely, on time, and to budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the project managers in ensuring quality systems are suitably managed in line with service excellence.
  • Monitor and track achievement of contract deliverables against agreed baseline schedule milestones and deadlines.
  • Identify and record risks at programme and contract levels, working with stakeholders to eliminate and/or reduce schedule and cost risks.
  • Support commercial teams in developing and updating programme/contract budgets, escalating any potential issues to the project manager.
  • Assist in vetting contractors' resources, ensuring they satisfy SQEP requirements, and promptly identifying any personnel shortfalls or issues with the contractors' project team.
  • Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders and execute project or PEP strategies within their contract or package of work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project coordination or operations management.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
