Position Overview

Full-Time Gardening Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardening Specialist to join our team at The South Pickenham Estate Company Ltd. This role involves the upkeep of a vast estate garden, ensuring it remains in pristine condition.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a diverse range of garden areas including herbaceous borders, cutting gardens, vegetable patches, greenhouses, fruit cages, and formal hedges.
  • Performing basic maintenance on garden machinery.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong horticultural knowledge and experience.
  • Relevant horticultural qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture.
  • A chainsaw certificate is advantageous.
  • A clean driving license and the ability to provide fully checkable references.
Personal Attributes

The successful applicant should be:

  • Enthusiastic and hardworking, with a passion for gardening.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and knowledgeable about seasonal changes in gardening.
