**Overview**

One Traveller, an award winning, family owned and run business, specialises in escorted holidays for solo travellers over 50 throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Aviation department for a highly driven individual based at our Head
Office in Swaffham.

This is a rewarding and varied role where you will be an integral part of our small but very busy Aviation team.

**Job Purpose**
- To work with Flights Manager to serve business aviation needs with group fares, inventory, and strong internal and external supplier relationships.
- To act as the GDS specialist within the flights team.
- Understand group booking process.
- Issuing BSP tickets using Amadeus or alternatively highly skilled in Sabre or Galileo with the willingness to cross over to Amadeus.
- Organising reissues and refunds.
- Issuing scheduled airline tickets.
- Providing resolution to ticketing issues.
- Deal with escalation queries with the airlines.
- A very good understanding of the ticketing process with hands on experience in this field.
- Excellent fares knowledge and a good understanding of IT, Published, CAT35 fares.
- Be familiar with BSP and maintain BSP reporting

**FLIGHTS - Role and Responsibilities**
- Monitor and action ticketing queues, mailboxes, and reports daily to ensure all tickets are issued within the specified airline deadline.
- Manage flight allocations, release, and cancel unrequired stock proactively in order to maintain good relationships with airline partners.
- Monitor and action minor and major flight schedule changes in all aspects.
- Determine fare type and method of ticketing and issue tickets daily in line with airline ticketing conditions.
- Always ensure fares and costs to the business are optimised and best available.
- Prior to ticketing, ensure all elements of the booking are correct, to include name, airline, booking class, duration and that a live booking is held in the internal reservations system.
- Action all enquiries including exchange and new ticket issues.
- Make sure BSP reporting is accurate.
- Experience in investigating ADMs.
- Assist Operations to resolve any customer rebooking and ticket issues.

- Proactively challenge and/or provide feedback and recommendations on process and system improvements.
- Build strong relationship with relevant airlines support teams to minimize customer disruption and financial leakage.
- Support, as required, the business and external customers during force majeure situations.
- Ensuring that all aviation trouble shooting has mínimal (if any) financial leakage, protecting the company revenue whilst simultaneously providing high customer satisfaction.
- Log and report all operational data in line with agreed business criteria.
- To contribute positively to positioning the Aviation Team as the most accessible, flexible, efficient, and helpful team within the business.
- Quarterly and annual reviews with Manager to assess progress, define and agree goals and KPIs.
- Internal training to fit in with current requirements.
- Liaise with airlines directly (where possible) to obtain flight quotes, pay deposits and balances as well as ticketing.
- Responsible for setting initial reminders in order to put in the quotes (effectively getting the ball rolling on all flights).
- Chasing the product department for decisions on holidays as to whether flight quotes are to be let go.
- Upgrades - setting pricing as well as obtaining the quotes and liaising with the accounts team in order to process payments.
- Researching alternative routes with airlines in order to get the best possible route for a holiday.
- Obtain deviations (regional flights) for guests as and when required.
- Researching all direct flight possibilities with low-cost airlines and presenting the information in an easy format for the bookings team to follow (when taking bookings). This information needs to be consistently current.
- Loading flights into our operating system.
- Ensuring that our booking system, brochure, and website accurately reflect our flight offering.

**VISAS**
- Ensure all visas, ESTAS etc. are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure One Traveller are abreast of the process we need to follow with all country requirements including new holidays.
- Deal with problems that arise with these.
