Early Intervention Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Intervention Support Worker to join our team at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. As a key member of our Family Hub team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based early intervention services to young children and their families.
Key responsibilities- Plan, organise and deliver early intervention services to improve outcomes for children and families
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to promote wellbeing and support children's development
- Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and services to promote the project and meet the needs of children involved
- Design and deliver creative sessions for parents and carers to engage them in early intervention activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote the project and engage families and professionals in early intervention services
- Level 3 qualification in child development or equivalent qualification or job experience
- Commitment to become accredited in the 'Peeple' and 'Solihull' programmes
- Understanding of the impact of poverty, cultural difference and isolation on how families engage with services
- Ability to work in a face-to-face role with minimal homeworking
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is a DfE-funded programme, part of the £301.75 million investment in the Start for Life period from conception to age two. Our aim is to provide seamless support for families, a welcoming hub for families, and the information families need when they need it.
