University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Band 6 Orthoptist to join our team at Bristol Eye Hospital and Weston General Hospital.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Orthoptist to undertake the investigation, diagnosis, and management of patients referred to our Orthoptic Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for working autonomously, undertaking clinical training of Orthoptic undergraduates and other medical, optometry, and nursing staff or students.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake the investigation, diagnosis, and management of patients referred to the Orthoptic Department.
- Work autonomously, taking responsibility for diagnosis and management of adults and children of all ages.
- Competence in the use of a variety of visual field analysers and interpretation of results.
- Involved in the clinical training of Orthoptic undergraduates and other medical, optometry, and nursing staff or students.
- Relevant Orthoptic experience in acute and community settings.
