Pertemps Limited is a prominent utility provider in the UK, catering to a vast customer base across England, Scotland, and Wales. As a member of the Planning Team, your role will be pivotal in crafting a delivery strategy that optimizes the use of the company’s fleet to fulfill customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically planning loads utilizing computerized routing and scheduling tools to ensure efficient logistics.
  • Developing a feasible delivery schedule while adhering to all regulatory requirements, including driver working hours and the Working Time Directive.
  • Analyzing routes to ensure cost-effective transport planning.
  • Coordinating planning efforts with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Collaborating with various internal departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Site Safety.
  • Generating weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports as requested by management.
  • Working proactively with the demand planner to manage the order book effectively.
  • Maintaining the integrity of system data.
  • Ensuring adequate product availability for the upcoming week and planning deliveries to sites accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in Transport or Production Planning is essential.
  • Strong geographical knowledge is required.
  • Understanding of driver working time regulations is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience with computerized route planning tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality is necessary.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to meeting objectives.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
