As a vital member of the Planning Team, your primary responsibility will be to develop a delivery strategy that optimizes the use of the company’s fleet to fulfill customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing efficient load plans utilizing computerized routing and scheduling software.
  • Formulating a realistic delivery schedule that adheres to all regulatory requirements, including driver working hours and the Working Time Directive.
  • Assessing transport routes to ensure cost-effective planning and minimize expenses.
  • Coordinating planning efforts with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Collaborating with various internal departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Site Safety.
  • Generating weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Working closely with the demand planner to effectively manage the order book and forecast planning.
  • Maintaining the integrity of system data and ensuring its accuracy.
  • Ensuring adequate product availability for the upcoming week and planning deliveries to respective sites.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience in Transport or Production Planning is essential.
  • Strong geographical awareness.
  • Understanding of driver working time regulations is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with computerized route planning tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to meeting objectives.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
