Pertemps is a prominent utility provider in the UK, catering to a vast customer base across England, Scotland, and Wales. As a key member of the Planning Team, your role will focus on devising a delivery strategy that optimizes the use of the company's fleet to fulfill customer demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing efficient load plans utilizing computerized routing and scheduling systems.
  • Creating a feasible delivery schedule that adheres to all legislative requirements, including driver hours and working time directives.
  • Assessing routes to ensure cost-effective transport planning.
  • Coordinating planning efforts with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Collaborating with various departments, including Sales, Customer Services, Engineering, and Site Safety.
  • Generating weekly and monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports as requested by your supervisor.
  • Working closely with the demand planner to manage the order book effectively.
  • Maintaining the integrity of system data.
  • Ensuring adequate product availability for the upcoming week and planning deliveries to sites accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience in Transport or Production Planning is essential.
  • Strong geographical knowledge.
  • Understanding of driver working time regulations is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with computerized route planning tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to meeting objectives.
  • Excellent team collaboration skills.
