Claims Agent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Agent to join our team at DPD Group UK. As a Claims Agent, you will be responsible for administering the processing of customer claims for lost and damaged parcels, issuing financial settlements where applicable, and communicating with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Validate new claim requests against clearly defined policies and issue claims forms to customers where appropriate
- Validate returned claim forms against clearly defined policies to establish if DPD is liable for loss and damage in transit, issuing settlement or rejecting where appropriate
- Manage customer interactions via telephone and email, ensuring customer expectations are always met
- Complete ad hoc tasks in relation to the above when necessary
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner and the ability to build a quick rapport with customers
- Polite and professional at all times, with a willingness to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative
- Excellent administration skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office/Google programmes
- Demonstrate high levels of self-motivation and initiative to effectively problem-solve
