The Role:
In the position of Trainee Manager at Majestic Wine, you will be instrumental in assisting the Store Manager to boost sales performance and manage daily store operations. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences, optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring operational excellence while mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to enhance store performance and operations in collaboration with the Store Manager.
- Identify sales opportunities and meet KPI targets through effective strategic planning.
- Provide exceptional customer service to cultivate loyalty and drive business growth.
- Offer personalized VIP service to customers, keeping them informed about products and tasting events.
- Share your expertise through engaging customer interactions and tastings.
- Assist in team recruitment, development, and enhancement of product knowledge.
- Ensure the store maintains an appealing appearance and operates efficiently.
- Recognize and implement improvements to optimize store operations.
- Ensure adherence to policies, processes, and training requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication of updates within the store and region.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality setting.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Understanding of retail KPIs and strategies for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills under pressure.
- Self-motivated team player with excellent communication abilities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and a solution-oriented approach.
- WSET Level 2 Qualification required, with a willingness to pursue WSET Level 3 for career advancement.
- Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license with a clean record.
