Instructor Technician in STEM Automotive Engineering

Chichester College Group is seeking an experienced Instructor Technician to join our STEM department at our Chichester campus. As an Instructor Technician in STEM Automotive Engineering, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver instruction and supervision to students in theory and practical sessions
- Provide technical support to staff and students, including the safe use of equipment
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment, teaching resources, and designated areas
- Participate in curriculum area, College, employer/parent functions, reviews, meetings, and promotional activities
- Organize daily activities within the learning environment, including preparation and maintenance of resources, services, and housekeeping
- Assist individuals or groups of students within the learning environment
- Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments
- Monitor and maintain equipment, prepare replacement plans, and order materials and equipment
- Clean and maintain working spaces, develop a working environment, and provide technical support and assistance for projects
- Distribute and collect tools as required on a daily basis
- Maintain and update asset registration
- Assist with PAT testing as required
- Level 2 qualification in the relevant subject area
- Level 2 in literacy and numeracy, or willingness to work towards
- Time management skills, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
- Relevant industrial/subject experience
- Experience following/applying health and safety procedures
- Experience maintaining relevant equipment
- Experience ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
