Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with a leading technology company in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit a dynamic Management Accountant/Finance Manager. This newly created role reports directly to the Financial Director and involves supervising a small finance team.
The position offers future progression and development opportunities as the business grows. A full-time role, but part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Open to part-qualified or newly-qualified Accountants or qualified by experience finance professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate transactions and month-end accruals/prepayments.
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, reporting on revenue, work in progress, supervision, and oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Cash flow forecasting, treasury/banking processes, budgeting/forecasting process, monthly reporting, variance analysis, and more.
- Support the Financial Director with providing financial insight to identify risks/opportunities, commercial analysis, margin/pricing analysis, and in ad-hoc projects/duties to support business growth.
- Experience in a similar position, ideally part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience with strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships at all levels.
- Ability to manage workloads to meet deadlines, experienced in financial systems with strong MS Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, willing to learn and adapt to business needs, along with a proactive and hands-on working approach.
This hands-on Management Accountant/Finance Manager role offers a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Full-time, however, four days per week, a pro rata salary could be considered for the right candidate.
