About the Role

The Single Homeless Project is seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our team in Islington. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable residents aged 18 and upwards, with a focus on tenancy sustainment and developing independent living skills.

The successful candidate will work closely with partner agencies across the borough to support clients to maximise opportunities to lead fulfilling lives. This may involve helping clients to stabilise their income, address substance use and mental health problems, and develop skills to maintain their tenancy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a caseload of up to 25 clients within a recovery framework
  • Develop and implement action plans to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide comprehensive support services
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Provide support and guidance to clients to help them develop independent living skills
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure effective service delivery
Requirements
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults, particularly those with complex needs
  • Knowledge of housing options, benefits, and tenancy sustainment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use a computer to input data accurately
