Job Title: Senior Nurse Specialist

Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Centres are seeking an experienced safeguarding nurse to join our multi-disciplinary paediatric and adult service teams. As a Senior Nurse Specialist, you will provide highly specialised advice and support on safeguarding issues, relating to Child Sexual Abuse, Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse/Interpersonal Violence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and support on safeguarding issues to all staff within the SARC and wider organisation.
  • Work within the SARC to provide safeguarding advice and support for child protection and safeguarding adults concerns.
  • Assist the SARC, Trust and staff in their duty to protect children and adults from harm and abuse, working in line with the safeguarding principles as outlined by the Children Act (2004), Working Together to Safeguard Children and Care Act Statutory Guidance.
  • Deputise for the Lead Nurse/Safeguarding Lead in their absence for SARC safeguarding issues and represent the SARC at Trust-wide and external meetings.
Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
