Technical Operations Lead
Location: Hybrid working model, with on-site presence required a few days per week.

In this role, you will assist the Design and Safety Manager in making daily engineering choices, collaborating with the project management team, and participating in the selection and interviewing process for a developing engineering workforce.

Your contributions will be vital in achieving engineering objectives within a specialized non-tidal berth dedicated to the support and maintenance of nuclear submarines.

You will report directly to the Design and Safety Manager, providing support to them and the design managers in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering results and the integrity of technical documentation.


The engineering team is focused on enhancing its capabilities to meet future demands.

Your active involvement will be essential in strengthening the team's medium-term capacity to align with program requirements.

Additionally, you will assist the Design and Safety Manager in team leadership responsibilities.

Your role will also emphasize collaboration with the project management community and engagement with the supply chain on technical issues.


Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in highly regulated sectors such as oil and gas.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in nuclear projects is advantageous.
Technical Expertise:
  • Prior involvement in major projects, whether nuclear or non-nuclear.
  • Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil engineering, with the flexibility to have broad or specialized expertise.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills to work with external contract partners.
  • Able to assign tasks, address inquiries, and evaluate the quality of design and safety work.
  • Experience in engineering systems and design.
  • Capable of making informed engineering decisions based on design alternatives and approvals.
