About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Supportability Engineer to join our team at Babcock International Group.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering or operations, with a proven track record of providing technical leadership and direction to teams.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing technical outputs for the AUKUS Support programme, leading a small team of Supportability Engineers through delivery of various technical taskings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the customer and senior leadership team to define requirements for future taskings, ensuring balance between customer wants and needs and business capabilities and objectives.
  • Ensure a high-standard of assurance to technical outputs, which will include robust internal review prior to delivery.
  • Engage with international stakeholders from various government and industrial organisations, requiring an ability to appreciate a range of different perspectives and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • You will be recognised as a member of the leadership team and will work closely with the Programme Manager and Technical Lead.

Essential Experience

  • You will have the ability to confidently take a leading role in a technical team that could span multiple disciplines, organisations, agencies and customers.
  • You will be innovative, bringing forward ideas for solving complex problems with simple and effective solutions.
  • You will have a flexible approach with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • You will have background in an Engineering or Operations environment, with the ability to think holistically.
