The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our client's team. As a key member of the property consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to clients across various sectors, including commercial properties, offices, retail, industrial, and housing providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive Building Surveying Services, including survey and report writing for a range of professional services, such as TDD, Dilapidations, Building Surveys, BRCA's, and PPM's.
- Carry out both professional and project-based work, managing staff and providing coaching and motivation to newly Chartered Surveyors.
- Deliver project work, acting as Designer, Contract Administrator, Project Manager, or Employers Agent, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
- Manage and grow key client accounts, developing strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the Training Academy, supporting and mentoring junior staff members in their professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) in Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying.
- RICS Accredited or studying.
- Project Management Qualified (APM affiliation or Prince 2).
- Good pre- and post-contract experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of winning new work, growing client relationships, and developing business opportunities with clients, including landlords, investors, and developers.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Knowledge of JCT contracts and experience of acting as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Willingness to travel across the UK as needed to meet client requirements and pursue opportunities.
- Proactive and team player.
