Job Title: Pharmacist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will provide specialist and patient-focused pharmacy services to the Lister Macmillan Cancer Centre (LMCC) and support the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on oncology pharmacy issues, including clinical, funding, and prescribing issues.
  • Support the Lister Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit to provide an efficient service to LMCC and other clients.
  • Undertake risk management and ensure compliance with medicines legislation.
  • Carry out general dispensing and associated clinical and pharmaceutical duties.
  • Provide teaching and day-to-day supervision of junior clinical pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy support staff.
Person Specification:
  • Masters Degree MPharm
  • GPhC Professional registration
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
  • Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in hospital pharmacy, experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and the ability to use initiative and work under pressure. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
