We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner with an Extended Role in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments and treatment plans for children, young people, and their families in a range of settings.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective and caring services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individually tailored treatment plans.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- MRCGP or MRCGP equivalent.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
- Eligible, or within 6 months of being eligible, for inclusion on the GMC General Practitioner Register.
- On the National GP Performers list.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent knowledge in General Practice, applied in a primary care setting.
- Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Experience of MDT working.
- Experience of working with children and young people in secondary care and hospital settings.
- Experience working in a psychiatry community or hospital setting.
- Experience taking a lead role relating to mental health in a primary care setting.
- Experience in using psychological therapies (e.g. CBT, systemic therapy, DBT).
