About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with communication difficulties in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments, provide advice, and support to patients with communication difficulties.
  • Develop, monitor, and review treatment plans to ensure effective communication support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist advice and support around communication and swallowing issues.
  • Provide mentoring, advice, and support to junior Speech and Language Therapists, assistants, and volunteers.
  • Contribute to clinical teams by discussing own and others' input around clients' needs to ensure a well-coordinated care plan.
Requirements
  • Recognized Speech and Language Therapy Degree.
  • Qualification or equivalent Licence to Practice.
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Substantial post-graduate experience in developing and delivering training packages to other disciplines, carers, and service users.
  • Experience in inter-agency working and changing own practice.
