Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage shop operations, including stock control, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote the shop and raise awareness of The Children's Society's work.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote the shop and its products.
  • Monitor and report on shop performance, including sales, stock levels, and customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of sales growth and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, volunteers, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including stock control, visual merchandising, and cash handling.
