Job Summary

The Supply Register Ltd is seeking an experienced and committed Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND role at Northway School in Barnet. The successful candidate will have a caring and nurturing background, with experience of working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to students with SEN, both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in managing students' behaviour and ensuring they are engaged in lessons
  • Set up activities and displays as needed, and assist with administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an education or childcare role is essential
  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is essential
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be working on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis, with a mix of roles available. The school has two sites, with the main site based in Mill Hill and the Infants site in Barnet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Team Teach or Makaton would be preferred but is not mandatory
