Deverellsmith is a leading international recruitment brand with its Head Office based in London. We are proud to be representing a growing Finance Team in their search for a talented Graduate Accounting Professional.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our client's Finance Team. As a Graduate Accounting Professional, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of responsibilities, including payroll support, accounts payable, and general accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Support: Assist with payroll preparation, including data entry and verification.
  • Accounts Payable: Raise invoices, match invoices to purchase orders, and process payments.
  • Accounts Receivable: Prepare and send invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and reconcile accounts.
  • Credit Cards & Expenses: Reconcile credit card statements, download expenses from online platforms, and maintain accurate records.
  • General Accounting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Documentation & Data Management: Maintain and update various documents, including VB (excel) files.
  • Inbox Management: Respond to and manage general inquiries and requests.
  • Intercompany Charges: Assist with preparing and raising intercompany invoices.

Candidate Requirements

  • Graduate of Accounting & Finance degree (or other relevant courses)
  • Commutable distance to London
  • Good computer skills (Excel very important)
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
