About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant Trainee to join our team at Access Self Storage Limited. As a Management Accountant Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and variance commentary for our region.
  • Support the Accounts Payable team in posting creditor invoices and reconciling creditor statements.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to maintain good relationships and ensure timely payments.
  • Provide support to store staff with issues related to the store accounting package (Site Link) and other financial matters, such as refunds.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform aged creditor analysis and track invoices due for payment.
  • Prepare and analyze VAT returns.
  • Produce store performance statistics.
  • Review and prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Contribute to weekly cash forecasting and reporting.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required by the CFO and SMA.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word is beneficial but not essential.
  • Team worker with a commitment to developing and improving processes.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm and dedication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical and technical accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of SUN Systems Finance.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Competitive salary range: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year.

  • Monday to Friday schedule with no weekends.

Application Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of purchase ledger experience.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounting.

Work Authorization:

  • United Kingdom work authorization is required.

Work Location: In-person work at Access Self Storage Limited.
