Overview:
Novax Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking a Social Media Communications Specialist. This role is based in Tower Hamlets and offers a full-time contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate a comprehensive social media strategy for the Mayor and oversee the creation and management of content across the Mayor of Tower Hamlets' social media platforms to effectively execute that strategy.
  • Provide guidance to the Mayor and Cabinet on all pertinent social media issues.
  • Utilize social media platforms to amplify the initiatives and messages of the Mayor of Tower Hamlets.
  • Establish, update, and curate the mayoral blog.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance social media visibility.
  • Employ KPIs and analytics to continuously refine the reach and engagement of social media efforts.
  • Participate in events and engagements as necessary to capture imagery and promote on social media.
  • Regularly report on social media progress and address any relevant concerns with the Mayor and communications team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a comparable digital or social media position.
  • In-depth understanding of major social media platforms, including expertise in crafting engaging content and knowledge of SEO and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with editing software such as Photos, Adobe Premiere, and similar tools.
  • Experience in the public sector or government is preferred.
