About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team at The Portsmouth Academy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the personal growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and champion Personal Development with a strong focus on wellbeing and inclusion for all students
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to uphold the highest standards of academic achievement, student behaviour and conduct
  • Create and embed a culture that raises the aspirations of students and helps them to become their best selves
  • Passionate about teaching, learning and improving the life chances of our students
  • Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
  • QTS status and recent experience of working within a Secondary setting and leadership team
