Job Title: Production Planner

The Production Planner is a key role within our organization, responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a customized supply chain concept to optimize lead time, inventory, and production utilization.
  • Develop and maintain operative production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and high quality.
  • Closely coordinate with production departments and global SCM to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Analyze and optimize campaign production to reduce changeover times and costs.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production capacity.
  • Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports to detect production problems.
Inventory Management:
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer needs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
Logistics Coordination:
  • Manage logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and transportation companies to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Book, plan, and monitor international shipments using Freight Management System and Carrier portals, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain production and logistics reports for management review.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize ERP systems to track and report on production and logistics metrics.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with various departments, including production, procurement, quality control, and sales, to align production and logistics activities with company objectives.
  • Communicate production schedules and logistics plans to relevant stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve any production or logistics issues promptly.
