Protection Relays and RTUs are integral components of the SE EcoStruxure ecosystem. The candidate should possess a basic understanding of the overall system architecture and protocols necessary to engage in discussions regarding a complete substation automation framework for MV / LV Distribution Networks.
Support and training will be available to develop the applicant's expertise in these areas as needed. We seek individuals who can assess and comprehend customer requirements and collaborate effectively as key team members to define and propose viable solutions.
Your mission:
As a vital member of the Sales and Marketing team, you will require adequate product and application knowledge to assist clients in understanding the optimal SE products, architecture, and configurations tailored to their needs. You will identify the most suitable products and communicate these to clients by creating or adjusting customer specifications. The primary objective is to collaborate within a team and cultivate strong, enduring relationships with users to ensure ongoing engagement.
Your responsibilities:
- Assist in achieving annual sales objectives through technical product support.
- Lead Protection and Automation design initiatives to develop and/or review protective relay settings, relay settings basis, IED data maps, and SCADA points list.
- Conduct design studies and demonstrate a solid understanding of relay protections, including logic diagrams, calculation reports, relay database management, and coordination studies.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on power distribution protection applications, departmental design guidelines, standards, systems, and relevant engineering codes.
- Exhibit basic commercial awareness and provide feedback to Sales teams to identify new opportunities.
- Offer customers access to application support and technical guidance during pre-sales and post-sales discussions by involving the appropriate support teams while 'owning' the issue and engaging Sales Management when necessary.
- Utilize professional presentations or products to showcase a broad product knowledge to clients and promote Schneider's expertise.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of electric power systems and the methods to protect, monitor, and control these systems.
- Leverage technical knowledge and expertise from the broader team to enhance your understanding.
- Foster collaboration with team members and other Schneider Business Units.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal groups that support projects, such as other engineering disciplines, Drafting, Project Management, etc.
- Electrical/System Engineer (preferred), HNC or equivalent as a minimum.
- Understanding of fundamental Protection & Control design concepts, including one-lines, three-lines, schematics, wiring, etc.
- Self-motivated and driven.
- Collaborative with team members and other Schneider Business Units.
- Organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of predominant protection schemes and philosophies.
- Strong desire to learn and advance within the broader Schneider Electric organization.
